STARTALK at the University of Colorado Boulder

The South, Southeast and West Asia Outreach Program: The SSEWA outreach program is a program of the Center for Asian Studies at the University of Colorado Boulder. It provides a platform for CU faculty, K-12 educators, and community members to share knowledge about the South, Southeast and West Asian regions with the community.

The Anderson Language Technology Center: ALTEC supports language learning for language students at CU by offering foreign films, practice recordings, and practice with peers.This will be ALTEC’s first STARTALK program for high school students in collaboration with SSEWA.

The Department of Asian Languages and Civilizations: ALC was originally established as "the Department of Oriental Languages and Literatures" at the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1982 and adopted the new designation of Asian Languages and Civilizations (ALC) in 2008. The Department offers both graduate and undergraduate degrees in Chinese and Japanese and courses in Arabic, Farsi, Hindi/Urdu, and Korean languages and literatures.
